Literature

Bibliographic references in the text of the article should be indicated in square brackets in the order of citation by the author (not in the alphabetical order!) in strict accordance with the list of references. In an original article, not more than 30 sources can be cited, in literature reviews – not more than 60, in lectures and other materials – up to 15. The list of references to the article should be enclosed as a separate file.


References should be prepared according to the format of Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals http://www.nlm.nih.gov/bsd/uniform_requirements.html. According to this format: 
• in citing a journal article – list the names and initials of the coauthors (if there are seven authors or more, list the first six authors followed by «и др.» in Russian language articles or «et al.» – in English language articles), full title of the article, abbreviated title of the journal (abbreviations should correspond to the style of Index Medicus or MEDLINE), year, volume, number, pages (first and last); 
• in citing a book edition (book, monograph, proceedings of conferences, etc.) – names and initials of the coauthors, full title of the book, place, publishing house and year of publication;
• reference to abstracts of dissertations are possible but not to dissertations themselves, since they are manuscripts.

Illustrative materials

Attach a minimal number of illustrative materials to the article in the form of tables and figures (photographs, drawings, x-ray pictures, charts, etc.). The editorial board has the right to reduce the number of illustrative materials in the article. Location of an illustration should be indicated by the author in the text of the article by reference to a table or a figure. Illustrative materials should be numbered in the order of their citation (Example: Figure 1, Figure 2, etc., Table 1, Table 2 etc).

Each table and figure should be attached to the article as a separate file. Files should be named according to the number of the related table or figure (Example: Figure 1.doc, Table 2.doc и т.п.).

Tables should contain only necessary data and present summed up and statistically processed materials, be legible and comprehensible, carry the title, units of measurement for each item, the presence or absence of statistical significance of data variance should be indicated.

Figures (diagrams, charts) should have indications of all axes and units of measurement in terms of the International System (SI). Legends should be placed outside the figure.

Illustrative material (figures) in the form of photographs (black-and-white or colour), figures, results of x-ray and radiological examination, results of electronic microscopy, etc. should be presented only in the electronic form as separate files in formats of Adobe Photoshop, *.tiff, *.jpeg, *.raw. CMYK, Grayscale, Bitmap, with resolution not less than 300 dpi, width not less than 92 mm.
Names of figures, legends to them with all indications should be typed on a separate page.
